4th Annual Chilly Chili & Cornbread Cook-Off

Are you looking for a chili cook-off to enter in New Hampshire or a cornbread baking competition near you? The 4th Annual Chilly Chili & Cornbread Cook-Off is now accepting contestants for Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 12:00–3:00 PM—and there are three competition categories, making it fun and accessible for cooks of all ages and experience levels.

This community-favorite event benefits the Chocorua Public Library, helping fund free programs, events, and resources that support literacy and lifelong learning in our region.

✨ New for 2026: The Cook-Off moves to an exciting new venue, The Preserve @ Chocorua. This beautiful location offers a fresh setting and plenty of space for contestants and tasters alike, giving this beloved event a whole new feel.

Three Contest Categories

Contestants will compete in one of the following divisions, making this one of the most inclusive chili cook-offs in NH:

  • Amateur – Home cooks and hobby chefs

  • Kids (Under 16) – Young chefs ready to show off their skills

  • Professional – Chefs, food professionals, and culinary experts

Chili and cornbread entries of all styles are welcome—classic, spicy, vegetarian, creative, or family-secret recipes. This is a judged competition, with bragging rights and community pride on the line.
