Ring in the New Year with Ms. Frizzle and Once Upon a Story Hour at the Library! 🎉📚
The countdown to the new year has begun, and at Chocorua Public Library, we’re celebrating in the most curious, creative, and kid-friendly way possible — with a visit from the one and only Ms. Frizzle and Once Upon a Story Hour!
On Sunday, December 28th from 3:00–4:00 PM, families are invited to gather at the library for a special New Year–themed program designed especially for all ages. This engaging afternoon will include a lively read-aloud, a short interactive lesson, and a hands-on activity that encourages kids to think, question, and explore — just like Ms. Frizzle would want!
Ms. Frizzle has always reminded us that learning is an adventure, and this program embraces that spirit. As we stand on the edge of a brand-new year, children will be encouraged to reflect, imagine, and ask big questions about the world around them. What can we discover next? What will we learn in the year ahead? And how can curiosity help guide us forward?
The read-aloud portion will spark imaginations and set the tone for exploration, while the lesson will invite participants to think a little deeper — without ever feeling like “school.” Finally, the activity will give kids the chance to create, build, or experiment, reinforcing the idea that learning happens best when we’re having fun.
This event is perfect for families looking for a meaningful, screen-free way to wrap up the holiday season and gently transition back into routines. It also highlights what the Chocorua Public Library does best: creating welcoming, enriching experiences that bring stories, learning, and community together under one roof.
Space is limited, so we recommend arriving a bit early to get settled. No library card is required, and all are welcome.
So grab your sense of wonder, your love of books, and your curiosity — and join us as we roll into the new year with Ms. Frizzle leading the way. After all…
