On Thursday, October 24th at 4:30 PM, the Chocorua Public Library and Tamworth Recreation Department invite you to an unforgettable evening: the Squam Lake Animal Adaptations Program & Nighttime Owling Adventure Chocorua NH.
This family-friendly event begins at the Chocorua Public Library, where naturalists from the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center will introduce you to live owls of New Hampshire. You’ll learn fascinating facts about owl adaptations, behaviors, and the important role they play in our ecosystem. From their incredible eyesight to their silent flight, owls are some of nature’s most remarkable creatures.
After the presentation, the adventure continues with a guided Owling Walk at the Chocorua Cemetery. Led by naturalist Jeremy Phillips, participants will explore the night sounds of Chocorua, learn how to call for owls, and experience the thrill of connecting with wildlife in its natural setting. It’s an opportunity to see the forest in a whole new way—after dark!
