This Sunday afternoon, we are thrilled to welcome a legendary historical guest: Betsy Ross herself! She will lead an immersive focus lesson charting the spectacular milestone of the USA’s Semiquincentennial. Children will discover the captivating tales, symbolism, and foundational spirit that shaped our country 250 years ago, straight from the legendary maker of our first flag.
The historical magic doesn’t stop with the story. Following our session with Betsy, we will fire up our creative engines for a hands-on crafting activity. Little artists will get to express their patriotic excitement by creating their own vibrant firework painting to take home. It is the perfect, colorful kickoff to the upcoming Fourth of July festivities!
Whether your child is an aspiring historian, an eager artist, or simply loves a great story, this interactive hour promises laughter, learning, and brilliant memories. Admission is completely free, and all crafting materials are provided by the library.
