Summer Garden Storytime Continues to Bloom at Chocorua Public Library
Our Summer Garden Storytime series is off to a fantastic start! After two fun-filled afternoons in the gardens, we are so grateful for everyone who has joined us to celebrate stories, nature, and hands-on learning. Best of all, attendance continues to grow as more families discover this unique outdoor program.
Our first two storytimes brought plenty of smiles as children explored the beauty of the K.A. Brett School Gardens through books, crafts, and gardening activities. We began by learning all about busy pollinators while creating Bee Hotels to help support native bees. This past week, young gardeners rolled up their sleeves and planted colorful zinnias, giving them a chance to nurture flowers that will brighten the gardens for weeks to come.
Summer Garden Storytime is designed to inspire a love of reading while encouraging children to connect with the natural world. Each program features engaging stories, an interactive activity, and opportunities to explore the gardens in a fun and welcoming environment. Whether your child loves books, bugs, flowers, or simply being outdoors, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
If you haven’t joined us yet, there’s still plenty of summer fun ahead! Our next Summer Garden Storytime will take place on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the K.A. Brett School Gardens. In the event of rain, we’ll move the program indoors to the Chocorua Public Library.
Bring your curiosity, your imagination, and your love of nature as we continue another exciting afternoon of stories, creativity, and garden adventures. These free programs are perfect for children and families looking to make lasting summer memories while discovering the joy of reading and the wonders of gardening.
We can’t wait to see familiar faces and welcome new friends on July 15 at 3:00 PM. Come grow with us this summer at Chocorua Public Library!
