Buzz on over to the KA Brett Gardens for another exciting Summer Garden Storytime at the Chocorua Public Library! This week’s adventure is all about one of nature’s hardest workers—the amazing bee.
We’ll gather in the beautiful Pollinator Garden to enjoy stories surrounded by the flowers, butterflies, and buzzing pollinators that make our gardens thrive. In the event of rain, Storytime will move indoors to the Chocorua Public Library, so the fun will happen rain or shine!
This week’s featured books are Pick, Pull, Snap! and the interactive Bee: A Peek-Through Book. These engaging stories introduce children to the important role bees play in our environment while encouraging curiosity about nature and gardening.
After Storytime, children will create their very own Bee Hotel! Bee hotels provide safe nesting spaces for solitary bees, which are gentle pollinators responsible for helping flowers, fruits, and vegetables grow. As kids build their own bee hotels, they’ll learn how even small actions can make a big difference in supporting local wildlife and protecting our pollinator populations.
Summer Garden Storytime is designed to inspire a love of reading while connecting children with the natural world. Each session combines books, hands-on activities, and outdoor exploration, making learning fun for the whole family.
