12th Annual Winter Celebration
It's almost here – one of the most delightful local fundraising events of the winter season! Chocorua Public Library is holding its 12th Annual Winter Celebration on Saturday, February 26, and you won't want to miss it!
The library hosts this festive occasion every February as the headline event in its annual fundraising drive. The gala always features delicious food and an auction, but the themes are varied, making each year unique and enjoyable. This time around, you're invited to join us for a costume contest! The catch? Your character must be one that has risen from a literary work to the silver screen! It's a wonderful opportunity to get out of the house for a delightful evening and give your support to the library.
Join us on February 26th from 6 to 9 p.m. on the RED CARPET at Runnells Hall. Sharing the same building as the library, Runnells Hall is located on Route 113, just east of the intersection of Routes 16 & 113 in Chocorua Village. Browse and bid on silent auction items while you enjoy a smorgasbord of hot and cold hors d'oeuvres created by Sarah Wright, Caterer, along with beverages, dessert, and congenial company.
As with every year, we will host a silent and live auction. The selection of merchandise and services to be auctioned, all donated by generous area merchants and individuals, promises to vary widely by type and value. A few of the items on the auction block include 2 Red Sox Tickets, a handcrafted piece by Jewelry By Timothy W. Psaledakis & Friends, a Cord of Firewood and many more! The portion of a winning auction bid that is over the retail value of a donated item is tax-deductible.
We are currently looking for generous businesses owners and individuals to help offset the cost of the food, as well as donations of items for our silent and live auction.
