Happy November,

We have a busy month or so ahead of us- so pull out your calendars and save some dates!

November 13 from 6-8pm  is Beginning Sewing  with Juno Lamb. This workshop is sponsored by The Tamworth Foundation and GALA. The cost to participate in the workshop is $15 which will reserve your place.  Scholarships are available upon request. Pre-registration is specifically requested for this event to be sure enough supplies will be provided. Please register at , or by calling 603-539-6460.

During the workshop, participants will learn three or four basic stitches and make a beautiful hand-stitched improv potholder. We will practice running stitch, back-stitch, whipstitch, and optional blanket stitch. These basic stitches will allow you to begin to mend your own clothes or create other hand-sewn gifts. No prior sewing experience is necessary. We will have plenty of fabric and sewing supplies, but if you have a cotton weave fabric you love, feel free to bring it along.

November 19 from 7 to 8:30 is the 3rd Monday Song Circle.  Bring your acoustic instrument and be prepared to have a good time.

November 27 from 6:30 to 7:30 author Michael Bruno will come talk about his book “Cruising NH History:  A Guide to New Hampshire’s Roadside Historical Markers”.  This book explores the 255 New Hampshire historical markers that dot the state highways and roads.  Not only do we learn about the locations and inscriptions of these markers, but Bruno expands on the historical information as well as providing other points of interest in the vicinity of the marker.  Michael Bruno will have copies of his book for sale during this event.
